I started Buy Australian First because it has become increasingly difficult to know which businesses are genuinely Australian owned, Australian made, or simply using Australian-style branding.
There are thousands of excellent Australian businesses employing local people, supporting communities and contributing to our economy. Too often, they are difficult to identify in a crowded market.
Buy Australian First is being built to make that clearer.
We are creating a trusted national directory and independent verification system that makes Australian ownership and manufacturing claims easier to understand and check.
Verified businesses will be able to display a BAF verification badge and unique identification number, giving consumers a clearer way to confirm their status.
This is about more than buying local. It is about helping Australians make informed choices, supporting Australian jobs and giving genuine Australian businesses the recognition they deserve.
